ASI Distribution Pte Ltd is set to stir Singapore fans with two nights of frenzied rock ‘n roll at the Asian Beat 2008 Heats and Finals. Asian Beat is an annual amateur band contest organized by Yamaha Music Asia Pte Ltd that brings out the best and the brightest rock stars in Asia.

ASI Distribution Pte Ltd, exclusive distributor of AKG microphones in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, will sponsor the microphones in the Heats and Finals round to be held on 22 November and 6 December respectively. Heats will be held at Tampines Mall, Open Plaza and Finals at Plaza Singapura on Orchard Road.

A turn-out of 5,000 people is expected at this year’s competition.

Asian Beat, which started out as Band Alert in 1998, was renamed in 2001, transforming the event into an annual music extravaganza that engage bands from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Taiwan, Korea, Hong Kong and China.
