ASI Distribution Pte Ltd (ASI) together with partners PT Dwi Kreasi Media (DKM) and PT Prima Citra Megaswara (PCM) organised the AKG Academy at Peninsula Hotel, Jakarta, Indonesia on 6 November 2008. The event was attended by more than 260 dealers and end-users from different parts of Indonesia.

Reimar Fochler of AKG came all the way from Austria to share his knowledge on AKG products to Indonesia dealers and customers. He was the main speaker and assisted by Marlon Sitompul of PCM who served as translator for mainly Indonesian audience during the event.

David McKinney, Senior Director of Sales in Asia, Harman Professional was also present to introduce Harman Pro Asia. Mr. McKinney leads the sales and support team of Harman Pro based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which was setup to better serve the Asia-Pacific Region.

The presence of AKG and Harman Pro principals in AKG Academy was a testament of support to the efforts of ASI and their local partners DKM and PCM for the Indonesia market.

The event enabled the participants to gain more product knowledge on AKG microphones as well as strengthened ties with key people in the industry particularly with its main distributor, ASI Singapore, DKM and PCM in Indonesia.
